how hard is it to make up a mount to mount a car alternator up to an engine and run a belt for it so i can run lights and charge the battery? can i modify a pulley to the top of the flywheel for this purpose or would it cause issues?

I was just about finished with Fearless Front's simplified wiring system when I noticed two wires coming out from where the alternator should be. Should I hook the black to ground and the red to the solenoid or is it not meant for charging?
